Founder and Principal

Richard L. Smith (Dick) founded the organization in 1973 to be innovative in the space of programmed instruction. Dick established a home office, darkroom, audio and video tape media and utilized advance computer technology to produce amazing detailed instruction and testing materials. Michael R. Smith (Mike) is the Principal that has reimagined the company as a means to give back to the Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) and Medicaid programs that provided him the opportunity to help people with disabilities like the one that impacted his father and the founder of the company. SY-AMPP is available to support a wide variety of clients and primarily focuses on Person-Centered approaches that create independence and dignity for people with physical, age related and intellectual disabilities.
